Will not lie, this completely sucks imo for those that have already purchased the game and all expansions. There's no consideration for such loyal customers and that's what i've always said. These companies don't care for consumers. They care for profit. Personally have the PS Now version downloaded and yet to play, so no real skin off my nose but i certainly will upgrade when/if this drops on sale to like 50% off for a free PS5 upgrade if it's not limited time. |

After a consumer buys the Ultimate version for PS4, they say they'll offer a free next gen upgrade for PS5. I'm currently wondering what to expect now when they say stuff like this for this game, and Watch Dogs Legion in terms of should we expect a PS4 game updated for PS5, or is this going to be an actual PS5 game digitally? And if it is PS5 version digtally, should consumers wait for a disc version of the PS5 version, or is the PS4 game the only portal to it for a disc release?
Control interests me, but I held off because I see most of the game takes place inside a building. I'd like to be able to explore outdoors freely too, and that's what kept me from buying the game. |

They purchased it on the PS4, that doesn't and shouldn't entitle anyone to get a free upgrade for PS5. Sure, it would be nice, but they are different consoles so if you want the best experience you may need to dip into your pocket once again.....

I agree, if I bought Control Deluxe for PS4 and supported the game during the critical release month period, those are the gamers who should be rewarded first, for not only supporting the game's release when sales pay the best for the developer (due to price reductions at retail for disc), but also the deluxe version of the game.
For the regular version, that's more debate-able. |

Personally as mentioned, if you buy a PS4 version of a game, yes you shouldn't expect a next gen version but under ANY circumstances where a developer/publisher specifically mentions their game's getting that upgrade. Excluding like this is a kick in the teeth and anti-consumer. Particularly for your fan base and counter intuitive. |

They should just offer a new PS5 version of Control with all the extras and be done with it.
Not offer a confusing PS4 Ultimate Control edition with a free upgrade to a PS5 version supposedly. Terrible marketing choice. Thanks. That's awful of them. |

Nearly bought this game then they mentioned that there was going to be a PS5 version. I thought it would be a free upgrade but am now glad I was cautious and didn't pick it up in June.

I am really hoping to start seeing the disc version PS5 logo on these upgraded games if in fact they're upgraded to PS5 quality. If they're just PS4 games with updates to play on PS5, then keeping the PS4 logo is expected. I hope it happens shortly after the pre-order of PS5 is announced.
Psy-Ops for PS2 was fun playing that demo, but it was challenging enough of a demo that it kept me going for an hour or two of gameplay. It's cool they're visiting the theme of Telekinesis again. Only thing I never understood is why the character almost rarely can lift themselves into the air when they can lift nearly everything else. |

In Control, I'm guessing there's no ability to float and fly in the game even as a cheat after completing it. |

Well at least the framerate issues will still be ameliorated on PS5.
But I doubt I'll ever play this again anyway once the next DLC has released. |

The digital upgrade def won't be a code, because people will sell it. Ime they will simply price Control UE PS5 at $0.00 in the store and you just buy it and check-out. Idk how the disc will work, but it will likely require you to have the PS4 disc version inserted to play.
