Screw the Oscar's then!

Seriously, I stopped watching the whole thing a few years ago... first it seems like some people are getting screwed out of the Oscar, just for personal preferences of the jury and second I cannot stand listening to everyone's 5 minute thank list... because in the end it always seems so rushed!

It won because the crazy old people who vote for these things have no interest in Sci-Fi (I.E. giant transforming robots). The Departed was the only "Best Picture" win I ever agreed with.

That was the WORST decision possible. Transformers should have had that statuette.

For the last few years the FX category has been screwy. This is no exception.

Problem is Transformers and Pirates are both action films and the Compass is a book and and artsy fartsy P.O.C so they give it to them.

My wife says its a kids film...we have 2 kids and not one of my kids even asked to see it...but Transformers and Pirates, you bet ya!

I guess that explains why Pirates DMC won last year. Or why King Kong beat out The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe the year before that. Or why Spiderman 2 beat out two films based on novels the year before that.

LOL @ this thread..... the one I wanted to win didn't win... the Oscars are crap!!! Give me a break...
