Default Todd and the Book of Pure Evil: The End of the end

Quote:
For fans of the animated series Todd and the Book of Pure Evil, it is not over yet. The award winning series loved by critics and fans alike will be returning with a full length animated feature entitled Todd and the Book of Pure Evil: The End of the End.

Once again produced by Aircraft Pictures, Corvid Pictures and Frantic Films, Raven Banner is stepping in to executive produce and distribute theatrically in Canada and are eying a Fall 2015 release. The animated film is being directed by Craig David Wallace and scripted by Wallace and co-creator Charles Picco and original music by Shawn Pierce.

“Our fans rallied and we raised partial funding through an insanely successful Indiegogo campaign,” stated director Craig David Wallace “giving our fans the ending they deserve – a full-length animated feature (with all new metal musical numbers) – that answers the age-old question “Gee, I wonder what happens next?”

“Being fans of the show ourselves, we jumped at the opportunity to get involved.” adds Michael Paszt, Raven Banner’s Managing Partner. “A TV series with a hardcore following, heavy metal music with a touch of South Park and a dash of Manga for taste. What more can we ask for?”

The film is currently in production with all the original cast returning including Alex House, Maggie Castle, Bill Turnbull, Melanie Leishman, Chris Leavins and Jason Mewes, among others.

No state side release plans have been finalized yet but stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.

I love this show. So over the top but so charming.

Can't wait to see the finale.

P.S. the show was not animated...

I discovered this by accident when adding the DVDs of the series to my database.

Went looking for it. First one I found was on eBay; some dude was selling for $79.95, and he claims to have sold 8!! No way, so I searched Duck Duck Go and discovered Raven Banner is still selling this from their website in Canada.

Appears to be a different edition ("mini Book of Pure Evil packaging") which seems a lot like the old Evil Dead Necronomicon packaging, but I won't know for a while as the extimated shipping time is weeks. Picture looks sweet.

Still, with the Canada to US exchange, even with expensive shipping, it came to $35, so on the very slight chance anyone else is looking for one I thought I would post.

Thanks for the heads up. I have the 2 seasons on DVD but kind of forgot about the animated movie. I just went and purchased one.

Got it today.

Raven Banner shipped it wrapped in cardboard inside a bubble mailer, so it arrived in excellent condition.

They confirmed there is only one edition. This site only shows the outer slipcover; the inner digi-pac has the Book of Pure Evil artwork that is pictured on the Raven Banner site.

It's a three panel digi-pac (plastic hubs) with the soundtrack CD on the left, the blu-ray and DVD stacked on two hubs in the center, and an attached slick paper 22 page booklet with production art, song lyrics and CD track listing, lying over the back panel.

Yep, the animated film.

Too bad the series is OOP, and that there never was a blu-ray release.
