If this is going to stack discs on top of each other it's a hard pass, one to part fools from their money.

I know it wasn't likely, but I was kind of hoping they'd just do a 3-Steelbook set of the UK releases inside a slipcase or something. This one SB is okay, but yeah, it'll have stacked discs I imagine.

Was kinda hoping someone else would pick it up for a final season to wrap it up. While FAR from a perfect series, I enjoyed seeing Chucky again.

Sounds like they're gonna just continue it with the next movie.

Never seen this series, though the standard looks enticing. How does it compare to the films? Is it more like Child's Play 1-3 and Curse, or more like Bride/Seed/Cult?

The first season is heavily inspired by Child’s Play 2 but still does its own thing with a coming of age story and ultimately gets wacky as expected by the end. Season 2 is very much an interesting combination of Child’s Play 3 and Seed of Chucky, also extremely off the rails as a result. Season 3 is my favorite season and it feels like a campy version of the original movie, where Chucky is urgently trying to achieve his goal for survival at any cost after finding out some terminal news about his condition.

It’s definitely overall campy like Bride/Seed/Cult with the occasional suspense, but I’ve been a lifelong Chucky fan so I’m happy just to roll with it. I don’t think a lot of people remember the silence after Seed of Chucky when no one knew if Child’s Play was just going to be remade and the end of Seed was effectively the end of the franchise, but I’m so happy it wasn’t and that we got to spend time with these old characters again. It’s icing on the cake for me.

Cool steel but didn't like this one enough to see it more than once.

It falls if the rails fast. Season 2 isn’t even watchable.

You know how the movie series got crazier over the years? The TV series continues that vibe. I think it's a hoot, but your mileage may vary.

Judging by everything you guys are telling me, I think I will just save my money and see if I can watch a few episodes to gauge how I feel about the tone. Thanks!

The Gruv listing says it's a 4K/UHD release but it's really just Blu-ray right?

If the standard cover was a lenticular, then that would be game over!
