Well this is looking very promising. I read this has a Bloodborne vibe and I was sceptical. This has a Bloodborne vibe:

Also I haven't heard of Round 8 Studio / Neowiz before. If they're an indie this game looks pretty polished.

God, I hate gaming. How they just steal off each other without even trying to hide it or adding anything really cool of their own. It's always a FromSoftware clone but worse.

To be fair, that’s what many games do, they kind of take ideas and inspirations and game mechanics or whatever from each other. I wouldn’t feel too bad about it as it’s not a new phenomenon.

It's fine to steal, but do it with some personality. Make it your own. Change what doesn't work so well. This is just lazy, uninspired.

It seems to be a blend of Pinocchio with a Bloodborne sort of vibe but with some mad mechanical weapons and enemies. For me that's some personality? I guess definitions on what 'uninspired' and 'personality' actually mean may vary...

This has a unique style and story to it from what I saw. Looks interesting. I like some of the contraptions the bosses are. That one boss with the tube arms looks cool and original.

And I agree, games are allowed to have similar mechanics without needing to reinvent the wheel. When GTA3 arrived in 2001, any game that followed was considered a GTA Clone, just for the simple fact it allowed the player to hop out of their vehicle, even if the graphics, style and story were completely different.

Technically, any game that has a character in it, is a clone of the first game that had a controllable character in it...

I’m not a fan of SoulsBorne games, personally. I’ll give both this game and Wo Lang a try, because they’re launching on Game Pass, but I doubt I’ll finish them.
