If this is going to be open world Halo as it was originally planned to be then it would be huge. The original Halo was supposed to more like Destiny an open world exploration game, but was too ambitious at the time, now would be perfect.

Here’s some more updates. The art style looked more like Bungie and less like 343 to me.

Keep in mind that was simply a new game engine trailer used to do nothing more than confirm they are working on the next Halo game and that it will be a more open environment type game. I highly suspect absolutely nothing from that trailer will be in the game and the engine is probably still in it's alpha or pre-alpha stages.

Definitely a new look for sure. One thing I've always knocked Bungie and 343 for over the years when compared to other top tier FPS games is how relatively cartoonish looking some of the graphics could be by times, not that they were bad but when thinking in terms of realism or, pixel detail etc. Halo always fell short vs say COD, Doom, etc.. Granted that was done on purpose but it would be great to get a Halo game that pushed the same graphical boundaries that games like Doom, COD, Battlefield, etc. have done over the years.

Halo 2, 3 and Reach all captured the greatness and awe of the original too. |
