They could've done something like he went missing and it's a big franchise mystery, Shuri took over and is trying to find out what happened to him and then years later, he's found and is just a different actor to us as the audience but not different in-franchise. But the whole "it's disrespectful to recast" thing came about and they just ignore the character's legacy.

Plus with the multiverse in general, a different version could show up, and the potential reboot everybody keeps saying might happen to make it so the X-Men had been in the MCU for decades. And Secret Wars. Maybe that's who Denzel is, an older version lol

I don't think it's going to happen but it probably should at this point. It's been a respectful amount of time and there's the perfect way to do it. In a Cinematic Universe where this can happen there's plenty of T'Challlas ready to come onboard

It'll be interesting to see who he plays. I never pegged Denzel was for the type who would work in a Marvel movie. But then again I never saw him as the type to star in Gladiator 2? Maybe the good leading man roles are drying up now that he turns 70 in a few weeks.

Hopefully Coogler fixes the issue of killing of T'Challa and brings him back with a new actor playing him.

Is it confirmed though? Marvel Studios haven't actually officially said anything. Although it is extremely likely to happen regardless because of the Black Panther films being so successful.

I can see that as a possibility, but what about Blade? He's long overdue. Maybe they can introduce several new heroes, as Deadpool & Wolverine did.

I'm going to say they're not going to dump Mahershala Ali's Blade role just because they can't get his solo movie going after 10+ years now (2013 license rights back, 2019 Ali announced, 2025 release slot canceled), fans were happy to see the much older Snipes return to the role briefly in D&Wolverine.

I'm going to say the son of T'Challa will be the new Black Panther for sure. But a new actor playing the role, taking place maybe 15 years later.

I mean if Denzel Washington just comes out randomly and says that he's going to be in Black Panther 3, I'd believe him.

There's no reason for him to make something like this is up. He's Denzel Washington. He's already a movie star and a legend. He doesn't need Marvel, they need him.

Considering this would probably come after Secret Wars, they can just recast him from the universe reset.

Would be nice to have some T'Challa acknowledgement given how MCU been burying him (97 having T'Chaka replace him cemented it for me).
