With regards to the broken 5.1-Track on the US-Shout-Release:
There is a user named "Michael" on the German Movieside-Forum. He's working for Plaion and has been posting there quite regulary. Plaion is distributing StudioCanal releases in Germany. When asked if this new 4K StudioCanal-Version of "Timecop" will have a fixed 5.1-Track, like the 4K StudioCanal-Version of "Point Break" had, he answered: "...And the english 5.1-Track will get fixed, of course".

Hoping for a UK release but good to know there will be a few options if it doesn't happen any time soon and they look to be better than the bare bones US Shout release with the botched audio track.

Are the German StudioCanal discs not very English friendly (disc menu, subtitles)?

If not, I’ll wait for UK / US as well.

Love it! Cancelled my US preorder for this. That was barebones as helle anyway. I have a lot of Van Damme mediabooks and steelbooks ,so this looks better in the collection

So Plaion is only distributing a Studio Canal encoded disc, yeah I will need to see receipts on this first, kudos for having a good 5.1 track, but if the compression is worse than Shout it's pick your poison already.

Better to wait for confirmation, some can be (depending on studio) but some aren't.

With the few German releases I have, normally the menus aren't English but are easy to navigate anyway, as long as it has the English track (and subs if needed) it's not really a big deal most of the time.

Supposedly it sounds rather hollow, it doesn't have the dynamic range or punch that the 5.1 had on the Warner BD.

Evidence points to it being expanded from the stereo mix instead of being based on the OG DTS mix.

As awesome as that is to hear, no pun intended, it's a shame someone there can't take StudioCanal's authoring house(s) aside and explain to them that their UHD video encodes are mostly dogshit.
