Count me in!! Watched the first 2 eps tonight. Started a bit slow to build the story, but wow did it take off.

Don't really care if it's accurate historically or not (hearing issues with this), but for entertainment purposes, yes please!

Binge watched it yesterday and loved it. Hopefully it gets a physical media release.

If you haven't seen The English on Prime Video watch that as well!

Definitely don't watch the trailers or that making of video as it gives too much away. Go in blind and enjoy!

Watching Godless now that references some of the events from AP. Not as good but definitely worth a watch...

Finished as well. Took my time since only 6 eps and not much else on TV really.

Loved it. Couple issues, but nothing to take it off a highly recommended rating here.

More folks need to appreciate these Western series.

Still thinking about this show. That scene at the end with Sara and Isaac was brilliant and so touching.

This show needs to be released on Blu-ray and on 4K. Godless needs to be released as well.

I really liked it until the final episode but it didn't irritate me enough not to recommend it.

Too many things telegraphed for me and the

[Show spoiler] burning the Fort down with everyone still in it would never happed with all those armed men someone would have said naw and started shooting. Instead lets just get drunk and burn with it. WTF was that dumb. I knew either Abish would kill Jacob or vise versa and way too easy to figure out and Isaac's fate from early on.

I missed on the kid dying I figured this would go there but it didn't. But hey let's just head to CA on our own!! No problem!!

Meh

Um.... The people didn't burn with it. That wasn't even implied....

They were drinking the free booze right up until the last minute, it's not like they tied up or trapped.

Skimmed through the trailer (as to not give away too much) and it looks a lot like The Revenant. Would that be a fair comparison?

Been wanting to watch this for a while, but life kinda got in the way. Just wrapped up episode 6 and I can’t recommend this enough. There were definitely some things telegraphed, but I can get past a lot of that stuff if the story is told in a compelling way. I thought this miniseries did that and did it well. Bonus points for that killer Explosions in the Sky soundtrack!

I just finished watching it last night myself.
Great show. I would certainly recommend it, but there were enough issues with it that I wouldn't elevate it to greatness.

Yes, the story beats are predictable and rehashes the expected elements to any other 'gritty western', but the enjoyment of the journey is what matters. It was a great journey!

The color timing was too cold and washed out for my tastes. Also, hated a lot of the GoPro-like footage, especially wagon wheels with a screwed-on camera. Looked awful. Shaky cam was too much a lot of the time, and the frequent drone shots just did not fit with the aesthetic of the story being told at all.

But it wasn't enough for me to NOT enjoy it quite a bit. I liked it more as it went along.

I also got the impression that they just got hammered and burned up during my viewing.
