Came across this today - figured a forum dedicated to physical media would care more than most. From the site:

"Stop Killing Games" is a consumer movement started to challenge the legality of publishers destroying video games they have sold to customers. An increasing number of video games are sold effectively as goods - with no stated expiration date - but designed to be completely unplayable as soon as support from the publisher ends. While petitions, especially to the UK government, can be more than useless in some cases, its still worthwhile especially as they’re both so close to their goals (and their deadlines sadly)

So is this basically for online only single player games? because for multiplayer games I'm not sure there's a good argument here. Just the nature of those games, they shut down at some point when the interest is gone.
