Default Major modern movies (post-1975) that aren't yet on Blu-ray?

With Kino releasing Summer Rental this past February 2025 on Blu-ray, it made me realize that we FINALLY got that movie on Blu after DECADES of waiting. It was a major comedy in the theaters with John Candy as the star, and it surprised me that it took that long.

Are there any other major modern movies (post-1975) that aren't yet on Blu-ray?

In the US?

Quite a few, including The Hours, Little Children, and The Village.

Fun with Dick and Jane '05 isn't on Blu-ray, at least, not in the U.S.

My definition of "major" might be off, I dunno. Here's some of the ones I noticed that haven't been mentioned yet.

Agora (2009--no US release)
The Beach (2000--no US release)
Borat (2006--no US release)
Dancer in the Dark (2000--no US release)
The Fog (2005, like anybody wants it)
Homeward Bound I and II (1993-1996, it's Disney so fat chance)
Powder (1995)
Revenge of the Nerds sequels (1987-1994)
Showtime (2002)
Solaris (2002--no US release)
Spice World (1995)
Splash (1984)
Toys (1992)
What About Bob? (1991)

I believe Save the Last Dance is the highest grossing movie without a blu.

I only know this because I thought it would be Sabrina 95. Thankfully Kino is releasing the latter finally.

Dead Presidents this is considered a major cult classic 90s flick yet no Blu-Ray somehow
Waiting to Exhale
Krush Groove
Titan A.E. Don Bluths last film still no Blu-Ray urghhhhhh
Blankman
Wag the Dog
Above the Rim
South Central
Disorderlies
Moving
Private Benjamin
The Salton Sea
Blood and Wine
Blood in Blood Out Bound by Honor
How Stella Got Her Groove Back
Quest for Camelot
Watchers
Rosewood
Kangaroo Jack
The Amazing Panda Adventure
Osmosis Jones
Hey Good Lookin
Soul Food

I'm honestly surprised by some of these especially these 5 I mentioned in my list. That being Waiting to Exhale, Dead Presidents, Soul Food, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, and Titan A.E. I don't get why Disney hasn't licensed these titles out, or at least put them out on Blu-Ray themselves. All five of these films are quite iconic, and are still remembered quite fondly to this day. Three of these are considered some of the greatest African American films of the 90s they're also incredibly quotable too. Yet these titles are stuck on DVD.

Also Waiting to Exhale has a phenomenal cast if you haven't seen this iconic classic 90s film yet you need to get on it immediately same with Soul Food, and Dead Presidents. These films have really stood the test of time yet they're still regulated to DVD I don't get it.

Lots of Disney owned films like...

Kung Pow! Enter the Fist
Stakeout
Alive
Ruthless People
Down and Out in Beverly Hills and others.

Some these below aren't major but I want them!

Shamus is 1973 but should be on blu by now. Not sure what the hell Sony's problem is.
Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story (1987)
The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle (1980)
The Gods Must Be Crazy 1&2 (1980-1989)
Desperate Living (1977)
Sextette (1978)
Sweet Dreams (1985)
What We Do Is Secret (2007)
Stuntwoman/L'animal (1977) Released on blu in France with French only audio and subs.
Urgh!: A Music War (1981)
Viva Knievel! (1977)
and lots of others I can't remember right now.

Fat Albert (2004).

Several Pokemon movies are on blu-ray, in Japanese only. Little good that does me...
