I have plenty of DVDs (mostly), Blu-Rays (quite a few), and 4K-BD, and VHS (about equal numbers)
I'd love to see a VHS section. My newest officially released VHS is from 2010. It's not that long ago. People who use this site are also likely to have a lot of tapes lying around. It'd be very nice to have all "live" formats (formats that can still be played with easily sourceable equipment). It's not like 3D-DVD is so much more popular... |

Why not start a Master discussion thread on the HT general discussion forum?
https://forum.blu-ray.com/forumdisplay.php?f=44 Maybe if it gets enough posts, you're thread will be stickied like the Laser Disc master thread did. Not a lot in terms of various members postings (usually the same handful), but they post a fair amount of discussion. |

Not to hijack, but as someone that is more active on the video game side, I wouldn't mind them adding a PS2 section... but I don't really see them doing it since it wouldn't be very monetizable on their end I think.

VHS would be too much mission creep, and a big problem is most VHS releases happened way before the internet as we know it happened. DVD was lucky it came around then, but VHS, it's much more difficult to find info about the releases as well as official images and such. How do you know what's official and what's a bootleg?
Someday someone dedicated enough might make a good VHS database, but it would require plenty of similarly dedicated volunteers for what is a niche format. |
