It's been a while since a Walking Dead got a steelbook.Is this exclusive to Barnes & Noble?Does Barns & Noble do exclusive steelbooks and could this be in reaction to Best buy ending sales of physical media in early 2024?

It doesn't state B&N exclusive, so I wouldn't think so. I don't recall there ever being a SteelBook exclusive to them, though I could be wrong.

I don't recall them having an exclusive either. Target used to get the exclusive steelbooks, season 3-8 while Best Buy got the Lenticular slip boxes. I got the steelbooks up until season 7.When season 7,they went with stacking disks in a slim steel book(the previous steelbooks were beefy),I switched to the Best Buy Lenticular for season 8.They stopped doing variant store exclusives after season 8.And I don't recall the spin-off shows ever getting store exclusive variant packaging. Daryl Dixon will be the first.

Huh, that's neat. Still need to watch this one, but I heard good things. Since season 2 seems to heavily feature Carol, my favorite character, I gotta get caught up.

Seems all the more strange that they didn't do a steel for Dead City. Wonder if they'll go back and release one retroactively.

I stopped watching TWD years ago and haven’t seen this show (heard decent things, tbf). But it’s cool to see a steelbook release.

If I was buying it, though, I would be concerned that subsequent seasons won’t have steelbooks. If this gets released in Europe, too, then that will perhaps be more likely since they got steelbooks for all 11 seasons of TWD.

That actually looks really nice. I like it better than them just slapping the season art on the steelbook like a lot of the past TWD steels. Whenever season 2 comes out to own, slap Carol's face on there for some continuity.

I haven’t seen the show. Steelbook is meh. If it’s streaky matte then it’ll be pretty bad.

I know these forums don't tell it all but the activity on some of these with new releases is non existent. I pre ordered Lower Decks Season 4 and posted on their forum there was no activity after it was announced and they had release date 12/19/23 then changed to no release date. I saw on amazon only 500 people bought in the last month and I said they will probably cancel it now it's unavailable. This is a Steelbook I don't think they will cancel it but I think it really is the final days of physical media more and more won't get releases. This doesn't even have a standard release.
