Wonder if this will be a new NEW remaster or just the previous 4K master (used in the previous 4K blu-ray)?

The sound mix seems will be completely different (DTS X vs Atmos).

New remasterd 4K with Dobly Vision and Atmos and the new extra along with the old BD is my guess. Wouldn't be surprised if that retrospective extra is one of the Q&As they did during the theatrical showings.

Remaster most likely means that they accessed the DI and did some cosmetic work on that vs. a brand new restoration where they’d access the OCN. In any way, very happy about this and especially so that Universal are doing it themselves. Hopefully Hot Fuzz won’t take too long afterwards.

I hope they rereleases all three Cornetto films. I've been procrastinating on getting the original 4Ks. I will happily pick this up.

Should've had Liz instead of a zombified Edgar Wright on the cover tho. Like I don't think you can even see him in the finished film.

I still have the Blu-rays. I would definitely try to upgrade "Shaun" and "Hot Fuzz". TWE was my least favorite of the trilogy.

I dig the EC Comics-inspired cover, but I don't really care for Steelbooks anymore. I guess we'll see.

We need a Hot Funk remaster FAR more than we do Shaun

Definitely. I'm just happy that the new Shaun thing isn't Studiocanal only and Universal thought this was worth the effort. SC's dreadful encoding would've ruined this anyway had it just been a French release but in general the likelihood of Hot Stuff getting such an anniversary treatment increased with today's news

20 bloody years.

I remember getting my first letterboxed VHS of Jaws in about 1994 or 1995 and thinking "Jaws is really kind of old now." SOTD seems like around ten years ago to me. But at the same time I feel as if I was quite young at the time. Late twenties doesn't seem that young now, from my perspective. But SOTD's age is making me feel mega old now. WTF is going on?
