Based on the short story from King’s 2020 anthology If It Bleeds, The Life of Chuck is three separate stories linked to tell the biography of Charles Krantz in reverse, beginning with his death from a brain tumour at 39 and ending with his childhood in a supposedly haunted house.

The script, which was adapted prior to the WGA strike, has been in the works for several months with Hiddleston set to play the title character and Hamill joining for the role of Albie.

According to the production, the genre project will draw tonally from Stand By Me, The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. [+]

I'm not shocked, though. Neon probably doesn't want to create internal competition for Anora, awards-wise.

I think the change in tactic is wise, both with Neon looking at avoiding cannibalising its award chances but also Chuck’s chances. It’s a crowd-pleaser film over a critical one, and I imagine if it manages to become a sleeper hit over the summer it’s likely to get a good head start in next years awards race.

Saw the trailer for this with Mickey 17 and I'm so hyped. Flanagan is probably my favorite director working today. It doesn't look like the trailer is available on YT yet, which is strange.

Is this film about the multi-verse for Loki? Is this Loki's alternate parallel person? Probably nothing to do with Marvel or cloning.

With no prior research, I don't know what to expect with this film other than maybe he meets different versions of himself.
