Shame this doesn't use Lynch's logo type font for the cover. He hated the Halloween font (this is written in his own handwriting in the DVD booklet) which Libra Films forced onto the first poster.

Anyways before everyone starts speculating, this is likely Lynch's own 4k master off the shelf without anything new and that includes the 2.0 surround track.

I thought the same - that it was weird they're using the old font that he disliked on the new Criterion art. I also looked at my Eraserhead 2000 set and it uses that font, despite it being a Lynch released set afaik.

Yes, this is surely the current 4K master. Plaion used a similar blurb for their description and also for their newsletter which claims that this is a new master but the same can be read when selecting the BD, which was released some time ago. Sound is DTS-HD 2.0 again and HDR isn’t mentioned either.

All will be fine if it’s a Fidelity encode.

Apologies if I'm misreading what you're trying to say, but Lynch's DVD has his preferred logo font on it, not the Halloween font.

I remember thinking the 2.0 surround track was good. I'm happy to see this on UHD.
