Default Would you rather be a live-action actor or a voice actor?

There are many pros and cons to voice acting and live-action acting. The main advantage of voice acting is people can hear your voice, but they don't see your body, which is a good thing if you don't think you look very attractive or aren't comfortable having the whole world know what you look like.

Live-action acting has its advantages too. You get a lot more to do than just talk. You get to explore sets, manipulate props, wear different costumes and eat different foods. You might gain or lose weight beforehand, depending on the role. In addition to acting by making facial expressions, hand gestures and showing your body language, you might learn one or more new skills for a role.

If you were an actor, would you rather be a live-action actor or a voice actor? Please vote in the poll. Also, please explain your choice. Have a nice day.

In this era it does not matter much. In the 1930s to 1980s it mattered a lot.

Orson Wells had the most financial success as a voice actor.

Why did it matter more in the 1930s to 1980s than it does now?

I never knew that. I thought he would have made more money acting in and directing films like "Citizen Kane" than as a voice actor.

Because there was a lot more paying voice acting work back then.

From his wiki:
The Stranger was the only film made by Welles to have been a bona fide box office success upon its release.

If you would rather be a voice actor, do you hate it when Disney makes live-action movies? Do you feel that Disney should be an animation-only movie company just so you have job security?

My voice sucks. Would rather emote with my face and body movements and interact with props and speak with real people. Live acting could be a hoot, and sometimes I wonder if I could have had a career as an actor.
