Default Do you sit through the entire end credits?

If so.......Why? Genuinely curious. I have a friend who always sits through the entire credits of every movie he sees. He doesn't really know why, just says he has always done it. Me on the other hand, I am off as soon as the credits start rolling.

Now I am a huge movie fan and am in awe of the amount of effort and talent that goes into the making of a film. But while I can respect the effort involved I just can't force myself to watch 10 minutes of scrolling names. So how many folk here actually stay till the lights go up and the cleaner gives you a dirty look? This does not include movies that have mid or end credit sequences of course.

If there's no credit scenes I don't see the point in staying. I leave.

Depends on how lazy I am or how many people are in the theater. If the theater is packed with people I sit through the credits so I'm not in the middle of a mob.

Definitely don't. I like to beat the rest of the crowd out. And like you said, the cleaners usually give a dirty look because at least at the ones I usually go to, they wait until every person stands up and leaves before cleaning, so even in waiting for a post credit scene it's a bit awkward. Sometimes I wait until the rolling credits start, but not often.

Only if there is something about the score that I have to listen to the entire end credits. I'll always check for an easter egg after the end credits though. It's extremely rare that I will sit through the end credits in the theater though.

I stay. It began when films started to regularly have clips at the end of the credits. Now I stay regardless to listen to the music, digest what I've just watched, or just to get caught up on my phone before leaving utilizing the great reception/Wi-Fi my local theaters provide.

Typically. I'm not in any rush, otherwise I would not have good to a movie in the first place.

Especially if it's busy; the last thing I want is to be in a large mob of people, I'm more than happy to let the crowds dissipate first.

At a packed theater, I'll stay for at least a little while in order to let the rest of the audience clear out first. I almost always grab a seat in the very middle of a row, so I can remain seated while everybody else gets up and moves either left or right to head out. I've stayed for the entire credits if it was something I really enjoyed and also liked the score.

At home, I'll typically let the end credits play out while I'm getting ready to put another movie on or just mess around while listening to the music. Sometimes if I end the credits too quickly, I can almost kind of feel like I had an incomplete viewing experience. This actually happened recently. My brother and I watched Sudden Impact, and he stopped it almost as soon as the credits started. I've always liked the mood of the song coupled with the imagery behind the credits. Just a few nights later, I felt compelled to watch the movie again by myself and let the credits play to the end, and then I was satisfied.

If it's up to me, I would stay in my seat every single time till the very end. But the company that wants to join you for that, is rare.

On a first viewing usually yes, because most movies have extra scenes these days. If I've seen it already I'll wait until the main names have run, if only to let the rush of people get out first.

Pretty much always also. In case there's an after credits scene and to let out the mob of people and to just generally chill.

On the big screen, no. At home, if it's an older movie usually yes. If it's a newer movie where everyone and his effing dog has to have a credit so they take about ten minutes, I just fast forward to see if there's any teasers at the end. If I've seen said newer movie before though, usually not.

Usually only if there's a post-credit scene or a good song playing. But if it's a great movie I'll usually sit there and reflect on it for a minute before rushing to the car.

I usually stay if there's been prior confirmation of any extra scenes, but otherwise I leave. Most (though not all) of the MCU films have had at least one extra moment, while Suicide Squad had Bruce meeting with Waller.

ONly if there's a post/mid credits scene or if I want to listen to the music playing over the credits.

I also stay to the end to make sure no animals were harmed during the making of the film.

Only if there's a post credits scene or if the credits have some nice visuals going on. Plain text scrolling up a screen isn't something I sit through, if i want info on who did what i just IMDB it later.
