Do I need to buy anything else with the router? How do I connect my PS3 on it?

Any help would be appreciated! THX

Is a Wireless Router on the middle floor, Pc on top floor, and PS3 in the basement a good idea?, I really cant have it another way.

What is a decent router for something like this?

I could use a suggestion myself, I have a wireless router on my first floor (it is a D-Link) and my PS3 is upstairs and sometimes the PS3 can't connect? The odd thing is that I can take a laptop upstairs and it show a strong signal and I never have a problem, it is just with the PS3? Do I need a better router, stronger router, should I even be having a problem like this?
thanks

You're going to get 50+ different opinions on the topic. Linksys has made good routers and they've made bad ones. Even within a model such as WRT54G there may be various versions that are very different on the inside. One version will be good while the other will be horrible. I've also heard good things about Belkin but I haven't used their routers. I've also used Netgear stuff and I've been very happy. Take a look at some of the forums at www.dslreports.com to get an idea of what people seem to be happy with and what they're not happy with.

Thx guys, I think im gonna get the Belkin- Type N Wireless Router. Is the PS3 compatible with N signals or is G better?

If I get this wireless router do I need any extra adapters or other network cards?

N is backwards compatible. However, please understand that your PS3 and any current wireless in your house will NOT take advantage of N. Only G

I use a netgear router rangemax I had droped 150 on a linksys and it was the worst router ive had so I spent 79$ on the rangemax and my ps3 is in the basement and the routers on the 3rd floor and I get about 65-80% of the connection via ps3 (I also have 30mbps down) so its really not an issue of losing a couple mb. but If you dont have alot or even a decent amount of mbps download speed Id try sometihng else hope that helps

I'm currently using a Linksys WRT300N and I love it. Extremely fast! I'm running 2 PC's, 1 Laptop, my PS3, and iTouch every now and then. It's great! Just my opinion. I guess it all depends on how much u wanna spend and what speed u want.
