Default FUD-boys at dbstalk.com still crying

Showing their continued denial and stupidity, some of the idiots at dbstalk.com are still claiming HD DVD 'the better format'.

Some samples:
It saddens me that HD-DVD lost the war because IMO the format was better andthe players were chepaer and 10x better than any blu player out their.

I have to agree with you on the HD-DVD being the better format. I have both and I like my HD-DVD player features much better.

Once again, the loser is the consumer. The studios made the decision for all of us.

Unbelievable. Even in total defeat on every level they still manage to extend their own stupidity. Oh, now the studios made the decision huh? The fact that users bought blu over HD DVD 3-1 had nothing to do with it. The fact that people knew blu was better had nothing to do with it.

Somebody go post over there and set those morons straight. THey banned me for being pro blu so need some help.

I like the 10x better measurement. I always trust an author that quantifies a qualitative and subjective criterion.

Yeah, its like on what do they base their judgement? Storage capacity? Bit rates? Uncompressed audio? Hard coating? Its the same thing every time, the players were cheaper. To them, that means better.

I think at this point they are in the denial or anger stages of grief. Think about it, many of them have invested themselves in this thing emotionally for over a year. If your favorite sports team was in a "playoffs that lasted over a year", and just when you still had hope left, they lost the final game, it would be a huge let down. hddvd die hards, believed right till the bitter end, so many are likely having emotional withdrawls, and some grief in the loss that is 10 times that when your team loses in the final sudden death game of the playoffs.

I think many of us here are very emotionally invested in Blu-ray. Many are passionate about Blu-ray and high-def in general. I've seen heated arguments amongst ourselves over how video encoding/compression...

honestly just let them be. They are angry their format lost the war, and you shouldn't worry about them since BD won.

Remember, many of these DUD boys like idiots also invested thousands of dollars into multiple players and a few hundred movies into a format that went dead in less than two years. This is something they are not going to get over anytime soon which is why they now want Blu-ray to fail. IF - and that's a big ass IF - they were smart, they would have bought one player and stuck primarily to renting...maybe only buying a few favorite movies to wait and see how things were going to play out (even though it was obvious a long time ago to many of us).

He isn't retired because that media ***** still needs to have several of his "Yes, I'm still alive and well" press conferences to cure his huge ego.

One conf. is coming up soon. It will run this week during the NFL Combine so the whole NFL community will see his face. The 2nd one will probably be during the NFL draft so the NFL community will see his face and then of course, you know he's going to interrupt the Presidential debate so the whole entire country and world will be tuned in to see his face with his reminder that he is still alive and well.

I can't stand B. FAVOR.

In the worst case they have also talked their friends and family in investing in the wrong format... It'll take some time to recover from the shame they might be feeling because of that.

Wow! Football talk here... Hey, just wanted to chime in that I respect Favre, think he had a solid season this year and then... Damn I was glad he turned into a little girl during the playoffs because he was cold.

BWAAAAAAAA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!

Bye Bye Packers!

OK, back to your regularly scheduled on-topic discussion...

I agree, I refuse to read any more FUD on obvious FUD sites. They lost. They can believe whatever they desire. The facts don't support them.

Yeah look, they thought HD DVD was better because of artificially cheap players and all players being able to play what turned out to be a handful of fully interactive discs.

All in all, something like a dozen discs with interactive/web enabled features?

All in all, a rather short sighted view as to why it was the better format considering they could never have what made Blu-ray the better format, i.e. greater size throughout the spectrum along with the higher bandwidth and greater resilience. The same wouldn't be true for the other direction.

More to the point though, who really cares anymore?

Morons! You're not wrong there! "The studios made the decision for all of us"

Good! I'm glad the people who create the content for us to watch have a format they are happy with! Can't people get it into their thick heads that movies are a product for studio's to sell, they're don't make them out of duty or kindness! If they stop being profitable due to piracy, the movies will stop. If the format wars continued and consumers stayed away, the high-def movies would eventually stop.

Were not all idiots at DBStalk.com. I have been a Blu-ray fan from the beginning and I also have Direct TV. HD-DVD was always crap from the day it was released. I bought my PS3 back in Dec. 06. It is the best consumer product I have ever owned. Better than both Direct TV's HR20 and 21.

Exactly. I agree. The worship of him by the Hacker faithful is disgusting. He has jerked them around with the retirement stuff the last few years and they just take it.
