Question Did anyone see "Vantage Point" yet?

I just saw "Vantage Point" at the theater today, and I have just one word for the movie...EXCELLENT! The performances by Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox, Forest Whitaker, and William Hurt are top-notch! Even the action and suspense was non-stop from start to finish! I won't spoil anything about the movie for anyone, all I'm saying is if you have nothing to do this weekend, then check out "Vantage Point"! You won't be disappointed!!

I sorta' liked it as well. It was different. So many of the storylines these days seem to be "same old, same old"

Great to hear this movie was good and even better that it had an original plot/storyline. So hard to find unique and fresh ideas in hollywood these days.

I saw it last night, and quite enjoyed it. The car chase scene is fabulous IMO.

The action and overall story is quite good as well.

However, as I'm sure many of you know, it shows the story from multiple view points. I personally felt there was 1 or 2 too many that didn't add quite enough to the story.

Part of this could also be that I had figured out one of the major plot elements quite early in the movie, so I wasn't held in suspense like it was intended.

I still plan on buying this on Blu when it streets though, and would recocmend it to anyone wanting a good theatre worthy experience right now.

Someone above me posted that this has been getting good reviews. Actually it's been getting slammed by the critics. I still would like to check it out though.

If the image was blurry...you need to gripe to management. 35mm will run circles around BD any day of the week if properly run. I know I want to know if my projectionist is failing to do the job right. I have griped about this numerous time on this board. I have high expectations of my projectionists in my building since the average customer is pay $10 or higher for 1 ticket. If you are paying the much you should have the best show possible. This has been an increasing problem in the industry and it is forcing inferior digital technology that is not ready to be for prime time to be used in theatres. There is an HD-DVD mentality of "it looks good enough, so why bother" thing going on.

I refuse to see it due to the fact the trailer was in front of every movie I've seen the last 3 months, that and the RT ratings are horrible

Overadvertising is worse than none at all

While the RT rating isn't the best, at least it's not in the single digits. lol.

Saw it this afternoon. I was impressed and the wifey loved it. If she loves it, it must be good. A definate purchase down the road. Some decent plot twists to boot.

Whats Vantage Point? Is this movie out yet?? Man I haven't seen a preview for this movie since I before I started writing this message. I'm with WickyWoo on this one- I am so SICK of seeing ads for this movie. They have been going on for what seems like a year now. Thank God the movie is finally out!
Oh, and NO I have not seen it and will not see it. At least not until they start the DVD campaign!
