New to Region Free.

Hello to all and thanks in advance for the information!
I'm looking to purchase a Region Free Blu-Ray Player. But after reading all kinds of things, suddenly I am confused. I think its an information overload.

Current TV: Sony Bravia KDL52W4100

Looking to get an Oppo 103 or Oppo 105 w/ region free mod

Once region free, will it be compatible with my current TV?
Will the Oppo play British TV Shows that are 50Hz (or other 50Hz)

Do they look normal/sound normal?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm just paranoid that I won't buy the correct setup for my needs.
