Default Made a killing off of HD DVD!

I just sold all of my HD DVD movies and my A2 on eBay. I bought my A2 for $99 and sold for $86. I bought all 32 movies for an average of $13 each. I ended up selling them for $429.

Original A2--$99
New Movies--$416 including shipping

Total--$515

Used A2--$86
Used Movies--$429
Plus $3 each extra shipping (just in case they sold low)--$96

Total--$611

I made $96 off my HD DVD experience!! That paid for 6 BR movies. I took advantage of everyone thinking that they would have no way to get those titles. They actually sold for more than Amazon!! I also bought my PS3 for $380 brand new off of eBay!! Not bad IMO!

I'm glad that you sold your HD collection but why do you take so much enjoyment from taking advantage of other people? I never understand this.

I wasn't taking advantage of other people. I charged $6 for shipping and these people knew that when they bid. Plus, it was about $1.50 for each mailer + postage and gas to get to post office. I probably broke even. They bid on these and paid more because they were in demand just like every business known to man!!

Is it the OP's fault that HD DVD fanboys are dumb?

Yup, sold off all mine over the weekend and got some good dough from it. Glad I sold early as I see prices doing nothing but declining later. Feels good to have one backed format now.

I agree! Even though I may have to wait a long time for some of those titles, I decided they were useless in a few months.

At least you came out ahead.

Can't really feel bad for the person that bought it off eBay now since they would have to be living in a cave to not know what they are getting into.

Mine is being used as my DVD player and I still have more titles to rent from netflix until they are gone so I'll stick with mine until I can get a decently priced standalone player that is 2.0 compliant. Even then I will keep it and enjoy the movies I do have. It makes no sense to me to dump them when they work just fine.

Congrats to getting so much though!

The great thing about Ebay (or bad thing, depending on your point of view) is that people will buy ANYTHING on it.
