Cool What are you guys hoping for when Transformers and more hits Blu (Tech Specs wise)

Hi all

First of all I just want to say I'm so happy that this needless format war is at an end.

But I really want to know what you guys hope will be included on the Blu version of Transformers. What specs and features do you want to see

Obviously we want AVC coding with a high bit rate and Lossless/Uncompressed audio.

But what would really make you happy to purchase Transformers on Blu? (or any other previous HD DVD exclusive)

No friggin' extras to take up space, no commentaries, no PiP. All I want is a high bitrate AVC encode with a PCM soundtrack! My guess is that these discs have already been pressed though and we will get what we get.

The picture quality from the HD DVD release was fine so if the Blu-ray version has a lossless track I'll replace my HD DVD copy.

Cool thing about Blu is that you can have that and the extras.
Remember we have an extra 20 Gigs to play with.

Give me a 40Mb encode and either TrueHD or DTS HD MA.
(no PCM if it means no 40Mb encode)

But more likely is that we will get the same transfer plus a PCM track (or TrueHD).
That could be released tomorrow.
Would everyone here buy that?

That would make it harder for everyone to enjoy HD Audio since it is not widely available in players.
Either TrueHD or PCM would be the most logical choice.
(but to be fair, I am a big fan of DTS and can't wait to upgrade my prepro. )

Yeah I would.

I'd prefer DTS MA though to be honest.

But PCM would really do Transformers justice

Maxpower1987 has said that the "original" BD copy of "Transformers" was a BD50 with a Blu-ray-optomized AVC encode and PCM.

Sadly, PCM will be a downgrade for me (in the meantime) as I have a PS3 and a non-HDMI receiver, and I won't even get the 1.5 DD+ that my old (before I sold it) HD DVD copy had.

Flawless PQ/AQ. I'd like plenty of extra's too, but not at the expense of the PQ/AQ. So if there's extra's and no room, throw them on a second disc

Oh yeah, and Paramount were starting to optomize for Blu-ray (beginning with "Blades Of Glory" before they went HD DVD exclusive, so unless they use ports to get product out immediately, I would expect BD quality releases from them from now on... at least I would hope so...

Through out the whole movie...Highest video bit rate (40.0) and Lossless/Uncompressed Audio (DTS-HD(MA) and TrueHD.

I would like to see DTS-HD/TrueHD audio in spanish and other language.

I don't care about PiP or extra.
