Default I just got done watching No Country For Old Men... And Gattaca...

... and it will not disappoint. Simply an amazing presentation. I doubt the any theater was showing the film this sharp. I'm doing a double-header and now I'm watching Gattaca. No time for Dogma tonight

Josh you are a lucky man. I will be getting all 3. Haven't seen the 1st two that you mentioned. But, Dogma = Kevin Smith = Me opening wallet.

Being a Disney product I would be more surprised if it wasn't perfect in every way.

I know these are two highly anticipated titles, so I have no problem letting you guys in on what you can expect. I just got done watching Gattaca, so let me give you a quick review of both films.

No Country For Old Men

Movie: 4/5

A film that make not leave you satisfied upon the first viewing, but will reveal all its substance upon multiple viewings. Acting is superb, the characters are some of the most memorable ever.

Video: 5/5

It doesn't get much better than this. Video is sharp as anything you've ever seen on the format, and probably sharper than the film was shown in your local theater. Absolutely stunning.

Audio: 4/5

5.1 24-bit PCM was probably over-kill for this soundtrack. I can't even recall the rears being active until the credits began to roll, and the first music is heard. Dialog sounds great, but it makes the audio very front heavy.

Gattaca

Movie: 4/5

Possible the polar opposite of NCFOM, his film has a great message and an interesting story to deliver the message. Its one of those films which can appeal to a wide audience because of the diverse storytelling techniques.

Video: 4/5

The video was sharp - especially the water scenes - but the blacks could leave you a little wanting. I'm not sure if the source is the issue, but I doubt anyone is going to be unhappy about the result.

Audio: 4/5

Dolby TrueHD track that is - again - very dialog heavy. Clear audio and not much is the way of surround action.

Josh,

Thanks for the update. I can't wait to watch No Country again. I saw it in the theater and was dazzled by it. I am happy that Disney is giving this movie their typical special treatment.

My preorder list keeps growing. As soon as a preorder is posted on Blu-ray.com I click and order. No Country for Old Men as at the top of my list.

I hope Fox gives Juno the special treatment too and I hope that Universal is ready for Blu-ray distribution when In Bruges is due for HDM release. If you have not already seen it, In Bruges is a special movie like No Country and Juno.
