agreed.

just enjoy the blu-rays that are currently on the market.

and atleast you have something to look forward to, instead of studios releasing all there big hitters in one go, and then saying "what next?!"

i prefer the slow releases,

i can then afford to be each new blu-ray on release day,.. and stock up on ones i have missed.

You forgot to ask about:
Star Wars movies
Alien movies
Fight Club
Godfather trilogy
Pulp Fiction
Kill Bill
Indiana Jones movies
Star Trek movies
etc
etc

It does seem painfully slow progress on catalogue titles. Paidgeek said Sony are releasing catalogue titles at 50% of the rate of new titles. This means that if Blu-ray has a 10 year lifecycle, by the end of the Blu-ray lifecycle they will only have released 5 year's worth of catalogue titles if they continue at that rate. Unfortunately, catalogue titles just aren't selling well on Blu-ray, so there is little incentive for studios to release them.

I'm waiting for Gigli, that movie was fantastic. Ben Afleck is the best actor in our generation.

Your math isn't exactly right. Paidgeek means, if Sony releases 16 new releases this year, there would be 8 catalogue titles released. I know that I would be happy with 50% of Sony's catalogue, but that is not what Paidgeek means.
