I bet you wont see these other "sport movies" from Disney anytime soon on Blu.

The Absent Minded Professor (Basketball) 1961
Son Of Flubber (Football) 1963
Gus (Football) 1976

I agree totally!! Every post I talk about has them tops on my wish list. Please Disney, you owe it to the '80 Olympic Team, Herb Brooks, your country and ME!!!!

The way Disney releases are it almost seems like they wait until every last standard dvd is gone from the warehouse to even think about remastering or releasing anything.

I want Rocketeer so bad it pisses me off Disney owns it.

I doubt that will get a Blu for a long time. Not a title that makes them a lot of money. Unfortunate, since I think that was probably the best movie of the Summer of 91, just barely beating out T2.

Problem is the standard DVD isn't even anamorphic. Disney gave the worst transfer possible on it and they wonder why it didn't sell.

I read it was playing on ONDemand HD but no comments on the picture quality. If in fact they did remaster it, then I am hopeful that its slated for release sometime in the future.

I want Miracle too. I thought I read last year that it was coming out this year, but I've never been able to find that reference again. Since The Rookie is coming out around the start of baseball season, maybe Miracle will come out in the Fall for hockey season. I even sat through all the commercials to watch it a couple of weeks ago when Miracle was in HD on ABC.

There's a scene during the Olympic tournament when one of the players has a bruised thigh and is going to sit out the rest of the game. Brooks comes in a starts chewing him out, questioning his desire, and in the edited-for-TV version calls him a "candycane!" I had to laugh at that dialog change.

I saw this on a HD broadcast a couple of weeks ago (ABC?) and it looked very nice. I'd definitely buy this on Blu.
