Question HDMI Switching?

If I have an AVR that supports HDMI switching (e.g. Denon 3808CI or Sony 5300ES switching between BD and HD Sat), does my TV need to support HDMI switching as well?

Saw someone post that elsewhere, but your answer is what I thought (knew I just had to go to the authority).

Thanks Guys!

hdmi switching is so you can connect multiple HDMI components through one device (receiver or switcher) and connect it to your Tv.

hdmi switching is just that, switching between inputs, hdmi 1, hdmi 2 hdmi 3, conponent 1, conponet 2 & so on. Just Pick a (1) port to hook your reciever to & that is it.
