How long will the SonyStyle CC $100 back offer last?

I tried looking for an end date for this promotion, but have come up empty. I am planning to get the 40 GB PS3 but would like to wait as much as a month or two for a possible price drop since SonyStyle doesn't seem to offer a 30 day price guarantee. From looking around, there seem to be mixed feelings on whether or not a price drop will occur, but I am willing to wait a while to find out if I can still get $100 back if/when the drop occurs. Does anyone know when this promotion will end? It also looks like I could get the card, and then just wait a while to make the "qualifying purchase" since I don't think you don't have to do the two in conjunction. Has anyone done this? Any advice? Also, with the 80 GB bundle being announced for June, is it more safe to assume that price drops are less likely to occur on the 40 GB between now and then?

You could give them a call.

NOTE: If you call them after the first bill comes, you can have the points on the card applied to the PS3 price. So it takes an extra $20 off the price.

Also, I went to ebates.com and followed the link to sony style from there... so they gave me $21 --- so I got the PS3 for about 260.

They gave me the $100 credit within two weeks of my purchase. I got the credit card and ordered the ps3 on the same day.

I just got the card today and am planning on going to Bestbuy to pick up the 40gb since sonystyle.com is out of stock.

I called sonystyle to confirm I would get the $100 back if purchased from Bestbuy, and the guy was pretty clueless, he said yeah I "think" it should work since its VISA.

So does anyone know or have purchased with the sony card outside of sonystle.com and gotten the $100 credit?

Reading the description on the Sony website makes me think it probably won't work. Are there any sony style stores near where you live? You can buy it there since you already got the card in the mail, and it will for sure work. I called the Sony store near me and they said it would, but I have to have the card in hand. I haven't even applied for it yet. Also, I called Sony and they said it would probably 5-7 days before they get more in stock online. Who knows if Spidey will be included.

I bought my brother a ps3 80gb last October and got the 100 dollar discount on my first purchase. I bought it at sonystyle.com, and have recommended others doing it ever since. Even thought they are out of stock for the 40gb, they probably won't be out of stock long. I would wait it out or place an order right now. It sounds like a gamble doing it in stores.

No, the closest SONY store is about 200 miles away.

and the guy from sonystyle told me it would be on back order for a long time! Anyways, got the 40gb from Bestbuy...just set it up.

I got the reference number from our phone call and the guys name...ima get my money one way or another.
