Default Bd50?

hello all, new here, love the weekly release info.

simple question, can someone answer me, what is the difference between a BD50 an a regular blue-ray movie, i guess it's twice the capacity. That does mean the movies look better or just more room for extra stuff? thanks, oscar.

A Blu-ray disc, just like a DVD, can have one or two layers. A single layer Blu-ray has a storage capacity of 25 GB, A double layer Blu-ray has a capacity of 50 GB.

Thus you can put more content, or the same content with much less compression on a 2 layer disc. With less compression you can get better picture and/or audio quality.
