Default Heh, check this out, Game Saves.

I cant believe this, its pretty funny actually.

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZsmthjce33

This person is selling game saves! Its pretty crazy actually, cause you'd think you play games to do all that yourself, kinda defeats the purpose.

Thought this could have some discussion, its ps3 related but almost posted it in the off topic *shrug* dont bite my head off if wrong. I usually hang out in Hot Deals/Blu-releases/trade forums

My question to you is ... is this a smart idea, possible sign of things to come? (sure its been done before to a certain extent, remember those code breaker cartridge thing you put your SNES game into haha! ... forgot the name of it , +5 to whomever remembers ) or is this just an act to laugh at?

I'm quite surprised these are up actually. I thought ebay had policies against sales of things like video game accounts, etc.

You can also download this crap for free many places.

Do you mean the Game Genie? Me and a buddy used to type in a few codes for SF2 and we would have a BLAST.

...

Damn I need to pull out my SNES now!

Dude, gameFAQS.com has game saves for most games. If people are stupid enough to pay for something that is available for free, then I have to question their intelligence.

We are getting lazier and lazier. Or more impatient. Or both.

No. There's such a content overload, that people don't have the time to do it all.

Many want to just sample bits and pieces.

I lost all my saved games in a reformat awhile back. I replayed a few..but imagine having 8 hours invested in a game and being able to pay 5$ to get back to that point without having to replay it.

People used to sell gold for mmorpg games like Guild Wars. I'm not sure if that's going on anymore (been a couple of years since I played). Basically whoever won the auction would agree on an in-game meeting place and time with the seller to make the exchange between characters.

Hell, that's been going on for eons. They still do it too.

Gold, items, leveling, accounts. You name it and it's up for sale somewhere.

If you've got $3, there's someone in China with lots of time for sale.

People will sell ANYTHING on eBay I tell ya. You could take pocket lint and put it in a box and put a big bowtie on it, and someone would bid on it.

I and another poster have already mentioned that you can download game saves for free from gamefaqs. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

Hmm, I need to see if there's one for Heavenly Sword. Yeah, the game everyone finished really quickly. I've been stuck for weeks now. Just kidding about looking on ebay for one but if there's not a cheat-code for it, I doubt I'll ever see the end.

Gamefaqs huh. Maybe I'll check that site out.
