Default Several Fox Catalog Titles With New Lower List Prices of $29.98 - Amazon.com

Miracles do happen. I've found several Fox catalog titles with a new list price of $29.98. Fantastic Four, Transporter 1 & 2, Chain Reaction, From Hell, 28 Days Later, Broken Arrow, Flight of the Phoenix, Kiss of the Dragon, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Sentinel, Men of Honor, The Fly, Planet of the Apes, Entrapment, Behind Enemy Lines, Edward Scissorhands, The Devil Wears Prada, Speed, Flyboys, and The Omen all reflect the new price. Some of these are still selling for $27.95, but I think that will change quickly.

Well if the new list price on these is $30 then the Amazon price should be $20 which is just about right I think.

It's a step in the right direction. Hopefully they will apply this $29.99 MSRP to all catalog titles.

I just hope this is a trend that all studios follow.

These catalog titles have been out for many months now. Fox had to lower the price to entice more casual buyers.

For a second I thought that the actual Amazon selling price for the titles had increased to $29.99. Hopefully, the reduction in MSRP will result in a lower price for the consumers.

This is good news, I've passed on a lot of Fox titles because they are over my usual limit of $25 a title.

I have most of those already. A few were gifts but for the most part I didn't pay more than $25 for any of them except AVP when it first came out.

Same for me. I don't own many Fox titles because I'm not going to pay $27 for catalog titles like Ice Age and Man on Fire.

EH I got all those titles back in a bogo, and then with the dvdsave5 and the price protection, it amounted to like $4 per title. All catalog titles should not cost more than $19.99 though.

As much as I want both titles, I'm not gonna pay $27.95 on them. I will wait for them to go around $20 or less.

All catalog titles, from any studio, should sell for $19.99 or less. The only exceptions to this should be for special editions like Blade Runner and Close Encounters, where real effort is put in to give us a great product.
