Influenced to Collect Blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum

I realized something last night that I should have noticed waaay back... I'm not sure if this is the same for everyone else, but I think Sony pulled a quick one on me and made me buy a whole bunch of blu-ray discs. Im not complaining at all, but thought it was interesting that when I think back, I never really bought and collected DVDs but Im ordering Blu-ray left and right. What Sony did was clever I thought... giving me 5 free movies when I bought my PS3 made me want more... and more.. and more! lol and what is worst is that my blu-ray options on the form had so many sequels such as Underworld 2, Transporter 2... and I l like those movies, but now I am spending money to buy the first ones to have a "complete" collection. Wow, I never thought about collecting movies before but blu-ray is almost an impulse buy for me, I have to jump at every deal I see now...... and I'm loving it.... I WANT MORE! muahahaha!

So true... I don't remember buying DVD's this quickly. I've accumulated about 30 BD's in about 3 months. 10 BD's a month! Yikes...

Pusher always offers the first one (or five) free. He knows you will be back for much, much more. Here are the 12 steps to being BD free:

1. Buy into DUD instead.
2. Call a buddy if you are about to slip up and make a BD purchase.
3. Skip steps 1 and 2 and go BD crazy. You know you want to....
4. Buy into DUD instead.
5. Call a buddy if you are about to slip up and make a BD purchase.

addicted and loving it.

This means I am past step one as I am no longer in denial. It also means that I have accepted my condition and thus will never pass any other step.

adiction is sweet.

also i would venture to say anyone who owns more than 50 BDs is addicted.

Hell I am so addicted I have started pushing product. I gave 65 BDs away to various releatives in the last year

Yeah I noticed the same thing. I never bought movies or music before this. The 5 Free starter pack did it. It's enough to make it look like you are starting a collection. Then you see rows of blue and think, I NEED MORE

I have turned into a hardcore addict. When I bought my machine, I waited to agonizing weeks until I went out and bought 78 Blu's all in one day!

A week later I bought 10 more.

Depending on my paycheck size, I am going shopping on friday to hopefully buy 20 more.

This is so true.If it wasn't for this site I wouldn't have know about the PQ on some disc and you can't forget all the deals that are popping up left right and center.The coupons that you can pick up from this site is ridiculous which makes you want to buy more blu.

I wouldn't have bought sunshine without this web-site's influence, and it turned out to be an unbelievable movie. There is no way I can compete with some of the guy's collection on here, but without this site my knowledge would be zilch, and my collection would be poquito.
