Default Latest Blu-Ray Movie Editions

It would nice if Blu-Ray movies of the latest edition DVD (special, unrated, extended, limited, etc.) is produced instead of the original. Case in point: There is an Unrated Edition of Crimson Tide on standard DVD but Blu-Ray has the original edition. There lots of other movies like that also that has other editions but the original edition on Blu-Ray (Basic Instinct, Con Air, Enemy of the State, Enter The Dragon, Independence Day, King of New York, Lethal Weapon, Lethal Weapon 2, Purple Rain, Robocop, Terminator 2). Also, what sense does it make to put out the second sequel to an original movie without the original movie and the first sequel (Rush Hour 3 and X-Men: The Last Stand)? I will not be buying any Blu-Ray movies until the latest edition comes out. It was terrible the way they did standard DVD's with every year it seems like a new edition of a movie is released. I will not be caught up this time with Blu-Ray especially since the DVD's cost are too high. I refuse to pay for a Blu-Ray disc that will cost me over $20 dollars after tax or with shipping.
