Default General opinion on LG?

I was wondering what your opinion on the brand LG is, because I am yet to see anyone talk about it around here. I just purchased a 42'' for my PS3 and I am thinking about a larger one for the family room. So far I love it and was wondering if you guys would suggest something different? Im also looking at Samsung or Sony.

Default LG's alright

I have been dealing with LG for a long time and their quality has come around of late. I hadnt been the biggest fan originally, but now I feel comfortable specking them in to my customers whole house media systems. I would definatly say there are several brands that are better but LG offers alot of Bang for your buck!

LG just makes plain stuff, nothing extraordinary. If you're looking for some initiative, then stick with the most popular brands; just like what turboedguy listed.

I think LG for the price is great!!! I have the 42" PC5D and love it...my dad has a Sony HD RPTV and my tv looks just as good as in sharpness but the colors make it a better looking picture...I guess I am comparing my plasma to his LCD...I have never seen a LG LCD in action at a home...Have you thought of getting a plasma... I think plasma pictures are much better then LCDs...even over Sony and Samsungs...
