Default Blank Blu-ray Disc Exact Capacity
A blank BD-R can store 50GB of data but there are 2 ways of defining a GB, base 2 or 10. In base 2, 1GB = 2^30 = 1,073,741,824. In base 10, 1GB = 10^9 = 1,000,000,000.

Which way do Blu-Ray use?
