thinking about buying a Pioneer BDC-202 Bk Blu-Ray Disc, DVD/CD Writer drive ...and just need to know if this is all i need to play blu-ray,im connected to my lcd via hdmi,just wondered if i need to upgrade my graphics card??if so what do you reccomend,,,many thx

I have one of those drives and they are fine. As plee says try the Cyberlink BD/HD Advisor then you will need either Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra or WinDVD 9 Plus to actually play them.
As for the graphics card if your present one doesn't do hardware acceleration and your CPU isn't powerful enough to number crunch the codec's then you can get any ATI HD 2400/2600/3000 series or an Nvidia 8600GT or above. They are all HDCP compliant and do hardware acceleration of HD codecs. HTH ![]() |

my monitor is a hp w2207h and im runninnig an hdmi cable to my sony bravia 46"lcd. my graphics card is a Geforce 7100 gs
