I've done a lot of research about the 60a3000 and really want to purchase it. It's a gorgeous TV for $2k...the thing is....I can't seem to find it anywhere locally. I don't really trust many internet vendors and was curious what other TVs this size (between 50 and 60 inches) would be comparable? I only looked into the Sony because I'm an elitist and they're usually the best.
Thanks in advance! |

With sony dumping rear projection, JVC is iffy these days also DLP is probably your best bet at a large screen at a decent price. Mitsubishi and Samsung are still in the rear pro business.

Check out Amazon, JR.com, Abe's of Maine, Butterfly Photo, B&H... all of those are reputable online vendors (all except Amazon have physical stores in the USA) and I wouldn't hesitate to give my money to them. |

![]() Yes, the SXRD is one of the best tv's we(J&R) carried. Sadly, Sony pulled the plug on this technology, and projection tv's are on their way out. I don't know where you are located, but if anyone is in the New York/Tri State Area, you can still get some great deals on left over stock of Sony SXRD Open Box and Refurbished sets at terrific prices. Feel free to stop into the flagship store on Park Row. We currently have a floor model 70" 1080p SXRD for $2,999. You will not find a better deal than that anywhere! These sets are mostly gone. |

Hmmm... Circuit City open box... Best Buy... JR if you're local to NYC... or check your local Craigslist. Someone is bound to have one left... it just might take some footwork or phone calls.
It's unfortunate Sony yanked this so quickly (they were still available about a month ago) because that is such a sexy TV. |
