You can purchase a SATA to IDE converter or a SATA interface card.

I've read that people have done this, but as to if it actually works, I don't know...

did you check to make sure the rest of your system can handle a bluray drive? I didn't know they still make mobos with only ide cables...

You must have an old PC/Motherboard???? I would recommend just using SATA if you have it. If you're using ide ribbons on you current drives and have a new computer you may have sata slots open. You should check on it.
