Hey i have a Sharp LC-32GA9E TV. I only got it just over a year ago, and it already feels out of date.
I have thought about getting a new TV for a while now if any you guys no how others have felt about this TV plz let me no. I would also like some suggestions for a TV. I have a budget of £1200-£1400 Thanks ![]() |

i Had a 1080i LG 42" for appox 8 months and i had to get the samsung i've got now. The picture in 1080p using the ps3 is just amazing. Also the later models of tv support HDMI 1.3 which reduces 'artifacts' on screen and gives a really clear image. I bought the Samsung in July 07 and its just perfect.
However as its 52" I would need a bigger house if i were to get a bigger TV! |

My TV only has a native resolution of 720p (60hz). It can do bluray ok which is still a better than an upscaled dvd. But it's not the full HD experience that i want. |

I would check Digitaldirect.com, they were selling samsung 52" @ £1750, last year when it had an RRP of over £3K. they are also capable of 60hz as well as the pS3 ability to play movies at 24hz.
There is definatly a difference in watching upscaled dvds in 1080p than Blu ray, lets put it this way some of my older DVDs now look like VHS compared!!!! How are you watching your Blu's? |

But, like I said, it's only SOME people that have complained. I noticed it on the XBR4 on display in a Sony Store when I was considering my new TV. Was enough to make me decide against the XBR4, but it still took me 2 weeks of pondering to decide on the W3000 over it. 60Hz is plenty for 1080p playback. I'm sure that either way you will be happy with your purchase. |

HDMI 1.3(vs 1.0 or 1.1 or 1.2) has absolutely nothing to do with better picture quality. The video quality will be the same no matter which version you have. Even HDMI 1.0 supported 1080p video. 1.3 now supports the newer high bitrate audio formats.

The HDTV I'd recommend is http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1200703056434 because its from Pannasonic which I from what I understand, is one of the best HDTV brands, plus its 1080p and has 3 HDMI inputs. Not sure if its in your budget range, but you could always try a smaller size if you its not in your budget (I'm not good with conversion from Euro to Dollar so I don't know how this would balance out) |
