Grand Theft Auto 4
I have spent numerous of hours playing the other GTA and i can't wait to get my hands on the 4 installment. ![]() I know i know the PS3 is also a great Blu-Ray player and has cool features. I already pre-ordered GTAIV and don't even own the PS3 yet. The only reason i haven't purchased the PS3 is bc of the lack of games. I already have a stand-alone BD player, so there was no real reason to shell out $400 bones for a great gaming machine with no real "got to have" titles. I can't wait to kill gang members, drive irratically and beat on hookers on my 42in Display. ![]() Anyone else excited as much as i am about GTA4? ![]() |

The "no games" shtick is old and tired. There are PLENTY of good/great games for the PS3 now. I have several that I would consider "must buys" if you own the system.
As for GTA4, I have always been one of the minority who don't care for the series. I've played all but San Andreas and didn't care for any of them. |

And +1 to the PS3 having a decent library now. People seem to still be living in November 2006. I have more great games than I have time to play, and the AAAA titles haven't even graced the PS3 yet ![]() ![]() |

Agreed. Uncharted is a must have. RFOM was great. I never owned it, but will buy RFOM 2. Ratchet and Clank was a ton of fun.
There are less games out for the ps3 than the 360. I would much rather have less games with some gems (ps3), than have to sift through hundreds of mediocre games to find the few great ones (360). PS3 will bring innovation technologically (Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4) and creatively (LitteBigPlanet) while 360 just brings the same old, same old. I am so glad I don't own one of those. ![]() |

![]() Yeah i think i paid like a little over $30 with shipping instead of $200+ at CC or BB. It does stick far from the wall but i don't care to much. ![]() I watch my LCD from the front anyways. ![]() ![]() Sorry for sounding like a comercial for monoprice.com Last edited by Hecmor; 03-17-2008 at 06:05 PM. |

Just to chime in on the "no games for PS3", I recently added Dynasty Warriors to my collection. It's a fun button masher, and haven't put down the controller yet. There's just so much mayhem you can do, and you can get new people to do that mayhem with, and then you can do it on chaos and see if you can even survive being hit twice before you are dead!
I was lucky in that I haven't played many of the originals, so this one can keep my attention. I just remember playing the first one on the PS2 years ago at my nephews. |

Don't forget tax. That nailed me when I bought my PS3. Nearly $50 in tax.
I should remember that phrase when one of my Xbox360 fanboy friends uses the "PS3 has no games" bs. Quality over Quanity. |

I was late to work today because of that damned game! I unlocked a new musou game, and was playing the new character, and didn't notice was time it was because I had to beat a level, had to beat it, oh man, it's addictive! I'm going to end up in rehab for this game.
You might be able to help, saw a preview or whatever for another of their games that looks to be a European version of it, any idea what it is? Also is it for PS3? |

Its similar but different in the prospect that you can actually run up to a squad hit x and they follow you into battle.. its less button mashing then dw as you can actually hold down r1 to attack... you can use the squads unique abilities to further take advantage of enemies. Theres nothing like commanding 20 knights as you charge into 100's leaving only carcuses behind you. Thank goodness for formations. Theres a demo on the ps store if you want to give it a try. LOL...
Its not bad, I got addicted to it... So I had to buy it. I find anyone who has no shread of patience will not like blade storm... You have to think while playing.. what a terrible thing to make people do. Course you do too much calvary and you will eventually catch yourself taking advantage of the charge ability for calvary. I loved the kessen series.. too of course. Things to remeber Calvary is weak to archers, except spear carrying calvary they can throw there spears at archers, low level charges are useless against archers, archers are sword man bait... Theres alot of rock paper scissors.. learning the relationships can be difficult at first, rember that there are two armies fighting it out, so you will always have plenty of recruits. Course late game it gets kinda weird with mages, and chariots, duel swordsmen are pretty fun to play with, alongside ninjas and samurai. You get more country's mercenaries start to show up in the game... Armored knights are armed with lances and are "kick ***", alongside royal lancers those are some of the best horse calvary in the game, not sure where lady lancers fit in though. Remeber the game shows a symbol above enemy units to tell you if the unit your using is good or bad at dealing with that unit, if you see alot of enemy units with signs all showing good at kicking your units butt time to ditch and find a new one or summon one of your own, you can hire up to 3 seperate merc units, through you get only so many uses out of them.
