Attaching a ps3 Steering wheel to a Soapbox Derby

Has anyone tried to do this for their game room?
When I have my own house I want to get a couple of inexpensive Soapbox cars or something in a similar shape, (like a half of one) add some cushions and attach
a ps3 functional Steering Wheel to it
I'm sure I would have to build it myself or mod one to death to make it slick and comfortable. I'm for it though.

Just want to know if you have tried it out and what your experiences are?

Playing some buddies in Gran Turismo on a Giant OLED/LCD would then rock

Right now it works on NFS Carbon, NFS Pro Street, GT HD Demo, and Burnout Paradise........Cant wait for GT prologue...........Hmmmm I gotta try Motorstorm........havent tried that one yet.

Its very comfortable, the seat is leather and looks and feels like a real racing seat. I thought it was funny that it is embroidered on the back "Not for use in cars". Very sturdy also, my friend is over 250lbs and the seat has no problem with him. It does take him a few seconds to get up out of it though.

Well ill pull some aviation logic to see if we can explain that.

Did you know that there are regulations of compliance that passenger
seats must to certain degree pass specific flame retardness tests?

Most likely the play seats might not to even want to pay for the tests and licensing for there use in cars, or be held liable should that seat catch fire
after say incorrectly disposed cigarette lights car on fire.

So while flying on a airplane do not worry too much about the seat spontaneously combusting, because the airlines manual will prevent it
by writing, the director of maintenance shall ensure that correct seat
cushions are used on airplane.

And if you write something saying it can't happen, it can't happen, prevent
through policy.

And remember ensuring is half the battle... GI JOE...
