Angry are some discs "slippery"?

it happened to me with some discs that the PS3 has some problems drawing in some discs (most of them DVDs, even more DVD-RW), I thought it had something to do with the thickness maybe or the coating ... It doesn't seem it's the PS3 as it's always the same discs causing problems
should I use some kind of "aspirating device" as it may be some dust that got into it? what kind? (a table vaccum cleaner?)

anyone had a similar experience?

Have you tried boiling them yet????

No, seriously though, I have never experienced this....maybe it just doesn't get the best grip on the leading edge every time.

I know that some discs, like Blade Runner sometimes, have rough edges. And some people have reported that the PS3 just won't accept them.

I think i know what you mean by the disk being "slippery", almost like it has some sort of Oil on it, but i have never had a problem with my ps3 grabbing the disk..

One of the reasons I hate slot loads with a passion. If you have discs you use a lot, they often do get "slipperly", and the drive to remove them has trouble gripping the disc after awhile.
