Totally agree! Even worse is I watched the sequel 28 Weeks Later before the original. Boy what a difference. I didn't even finish the movie it was so bad. But you can't blame blu-ray, it was horrible source material. Granted it was shot on DV cameras and a low budget.

Worst PQ? The Stendhal Syndrome for sure! I have watched over 500 different Blu-ray movies, and the before mentioned takes the dubious prize. Read my review if you want to know why it is so poor (the PQ).https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movie...ow=userreviews

I will prolly get ripped for this but I thought Slumdog looked bad for most the movie.. There were some good parts in terms of PQ but for the most part i thought it was pretty ugly.. I know its probably the directors choice to make it look that way but it was hard on the eyes.

Donnie Darko is pretty sharty. When a blu has poor PQ it is for only two reasons: poor source material as in the case of 28 days later, you can tell because 90% of the movie is shot in DV and the last 5 min. is shot in 70 mm or something like that, so the last 5 min. looks incredible! and also the lackluster and pathetic job of the techs doing the transfer as in the case of the new Star Trek Blus when they DNR the crap outta films. I don't necessarily hate it though, because I think that it still looks better than DVD. I'm not going to b**** and complain because I love all my blus. None of them are "unwatchable".
Edit: On second thought, there is one that comes very close to "unwatchable" and that is Chuck: The Complete First Season. There is so much grain in almost every shot that it really does hurt my eyes to watch! Last edited by aggienader08; 05-13-2009 at 06:29 PM. |

I have 28 days later.. IT look soooo bad but i figured that was already mentioned so i didnt bother. I just didnt like the way the movie looked. unless the Canadian Version looks far worse than the American copy.
BUT i still like Slumdog Millionaire a lot. |

CLOVERFIELD????????????????
you guys do know that part of the movie is sopposed to look bad right? When the movie is supposed to be clear I thought the PQ was really good and reviews on websites would tend to agree.. |
