The BW1000 will be able to burn dual layer blu-ray in 2x, it will also burn DVD's, DL DVD's, CD's etc.

They plan to start volume producing the product in the first or second quarter of 2006, depending on how quickly the market for blue-laser products develops

The price is still unknown, guess it also will depend on price of blue-lasers as well as competition. If they have the only burner it's probably gonna be a lot more expensive than if they are the fifth in row.
