Default Question on Saved Game Data

So my PS3 bit the dust last Sunday (BD Rom died) and Sony is sending me a replacement (thanks for the quick turnaround, Sony). But my question is, what's going to happen to my Rock Band, COD4, GH3, Madden 08 saved content? Can I back it up to a USB flash drive? Maybe network it to my laptop and dump it somewhere? And what about my dlc that I bought from the store??? Can someone help explain this to me?

I'm sorry to hear about your PS3 dying on you. Regarding your question, you can back up your saved game data on a flash drive. There was a thread about this about a month ago. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=34067

And about the dlc, go to your download history(or download list, I forgot what it was called) in the PSN store. It will have your purchased items available to download again. I think you can download your purchased content on up to 5 different PS3s, so you'll be fine. Tell me how it goes.

Yes you can back up your data to a USB flash drive.

As for DLC, just make sure you remember your account name and password. Once you get the PS3 back, sign into the PSN using that info, and you should be able to re-download anything you paid for from the PS store.

A small addendum to that is that you can't save your Rock Band saved game data to a Flash drive.

Ugh, is there any way to save that?

It might work through a system back up, but I don't know for sure, that's a little out of my element and I've not yet done anything like that.

Good luck though. It would stink to lose that material.
