I really wanted the MGS4 bundle, but I couldn't wait with GTAIV coming out in April, so I pulled the trigger on an 80GB Motorstorm bundle I stumbled across... I got a DS3 controller on order at Amazon already, as well as GTAVI and MGS4!

If it were me, Id go with the 80 GB. Purely my opinion, but you get the memory card readers (for digicam cards, not ps2 mem cards), it will play ps2 games, you get 2 extra usb plugs, instead of just 2 on the 40 gb, and you'll be getting MGS4 with it! and you get double the memory ...

Those memory card readers are actually useful too. I can download PSP demos/games to my PS3, plug in my memory stick and then transfer them over to my PSP.

Transfering music/movies/photos from memory cards to the PS3 is great too.

If you can, wait for the MGS4 bundle. Otherwise get the 80gig right now.

I think you meant, Double the Hard Disk Space. Both 40gb and 80gb models have 256mb of XDR ram.

80GB with MGS4 and Dualshock.

You get their best current iteration of the PS3, the best (IMHO) game coming out that is PS3 exclusive, and the new dualshock controller.

Compare that with me, who has the 60GB version, bought for $499.99 USD, and then tack onto that MGS4 for $59.99 and the controller $49.99(?) and I am spending more for less HDD space, correct?

You're asking a question that nobody can answer but yourself.

Also, the "i'm too lazy" argument for not searching the forum is pretty insulting. I'm surprised anybody is helping you.

who said this? its a "POLL" no need for elitist jerks.

i thought Forums was for ppl to share info of similar taste with knowledgable and well thought-out opinions, not badger and criticize threads.

just depends on what you want to spend, forget the 40gb, get an 80gb or just wait until the NEW and IMPROVED 180gb is on the market.

That's what forums are for. What forums are not for is for someone too lazy to do 1 minute google searches or 2 minute forum searches for answers to his questions. Forums are for discussion, not to ask stuff like "LOL WHUT IS 3:2 PULLDOWN THAR R ONLEE 2902786902348690w8 WEB PAGES ON IT."

Essentially, you're asking people to tell you what to do when the decision is completely based on your needs as a user. Nobody can tell you what to do, go with the 40g or wait for the 80g, except yourself. You're the only person who can answer this question. Is a random internet forum poll really going to convince you one way or another? Seriously?

Too lazy to go through the PS3 section of this forum and find your information? Well, you don't deserve any help.
