ends in 2 more weeks, what gives? Season 2 just started!

Writers strike just ended.. theres only been 4 episodes right?

There will be more in fall.. ala LOST

Season 2 was only 7(?) episodes..... there are different endings filmed. If it gets picked up for season 3 we get a cliffhanger type ending. If not, we get the wrap up ending.

They are supposed to make a decsion prety fast, so they know which one to air.

On one of TV Guides podcasts last week, one of the Jericho producers basically said that this season will be ending with a cliffhanger, and they are counting on another season.

The worst that can happen is that it gets canceled and when S2 comes out on DVD and/or BD, there is a 1-2 hour tie-up episode.

they had 18 episodes already made going into season 2 so i expect to see them in the fall

Great show. Was very disappointed when originally cancelled, glad the peanuts worked. I would prefer longer seasons, though.

No, it was 7 episodes that was planned long before the strike. They did it on a short notice.

Well, now that it has been officially canceled (for good this time), it was revealed that they did go back and film two endings.... One that would have brought us into S3, the other to tie up the series...

Skeet Ulrich says that most people will not be happy with the series ender ending... So, guess we'll just have to take it as it is...

CBS really screwed the pooch here.... They should have left Jericho at its original time and night... Instead, they put it on to fill their weakest spot in their lineup...

Next up on the CBS chopping block, The Unit... Another favorite of mine, but it is a bubble show, and they have canceled other shows that pull better numbers.

I'm a big fan of Jericho and The Unit. Hope they don't cancel it.

all the good shows get canceled. Arrested Development, Jericho, Futurama! How can the world live like this? oh.... right. they can all go watch superhero movie.

I like the Unit and Jericho too.

Bubble shows are those that don't pull the heaviest viewers, but also don't pull the lowest...

Essentially, on the bubble because the network has to decide to stick with a show that might not pull in heavy viewer-ship and risk continuing losing money on the show, or cancel it and put something they think will excel in that time slot, either new or old. It's all about economics for the networks, and not what the viewers want.

Man I love this show! I didn't watch when it originally came on but they played the reruns on Universal HD and I got caught up. And the second season was absolutely amazing! It really sucks that it got cancelled again. But I heard on IGN that they me thinking about making a movie about the war between Cheyenne and Texas which would be extremely cool!! I would go see it for sure!

I'd see it. It wouldn't have a whole lot to do with Jericho, but the series finale did a good job on tying up the lose ends so that Jericho had its place in the stopping of the conspiracy. Great show. Love how it hinted at the next Civil War though.

That is very true! They also said that maybe another network would pick it up like sci-fi channel or something like that. Which would suck because it wouldn't be in HD.
