Question 25GB versus 50GB discs

I noticed that the movie "Hitman" on Blu-ray was a 25GB disc. Are the 50GB Blu-rays two 25GB discs or one 50GB disc (using both sides of the disc)?

They are 50 GIG dual layer meaning 50GB is all on one side of the disk, no need to flip

DVD:
DVD5 - Single Layer, Single Sided
DVD9 - Dual Layer, Single Sided
DVD10 - Single Layer, Dual Sided
DVD14 - Single Layer (A-Side)/Dual Layer (B-Side)
DVD18 - Dual Layer, Dual Sided

Blu-ray:
25GB - Single Layer, Single Sided
50GB - Dual Layer, Single Sided

...There currently is no Dual Layer, Dual Sided option for Blu-ray, and as far as I know there are no plan to do this; since the layers are too thin.

HD DVD:
HD15 - Single Layer, Single Sided
HD30 - Dual Layer, Single Sided

And then there are the specs for the glitchy combo discs.

HD15/DVD5 - Dual Layer HD (A-Side); Single Layer SD (B-Side)
HD30/DVD5 - Dual Layer HD (A-Side); Single Layer SD (B-Side)
HD30/DVD9 - Dual Layer HD (A-Side); Dual Layer SD (B-Side)

*Edited for bone head DVD9 notation... & I forgot the DVD10

What Blu-ray movies use a 50GB disc? Does it tell you anywhere on the back of the case or on the disc what size disc is used?

the only company that will tell you that information is Fox but if you want to look to see other movies to see what they will use just look at the movies section on here as previously posted and you will get your answer in a heartbeat

Or you can do this workaround, just hold the disc and looking around the middle hole where you have printed codes. If you have 2 bar codes it means it is 50GB and if you have only one barcode means it is 25GB.Like the age of DVD
