Default Quicktime to PS3?

I've been unsuccessful in converting an MP4 for the ps3 via quicktime pro. Always unsupported data.
I'm converting my own HDV 1080i videos from final cut. ANY recommendations for Mac to PS3 would be helpful. But please be specific!
I'm not interested in DVD or Apple trailers to PS3 or though, just my quicktime videos!

I have had no trouble converting files.
You have to make sure you set the right mp4 codec for video and audio as well, mp4 is not enough. The default setting does not work but if you go into the customize settings, you can change it.
The default for video is "MP4 (ISMA)". This does not work, and you need to change it to simply "MP4". Then choose MP4 basic or H.264. If this does not work, tell me so I can see exactly what setting to put things at, I'm at work now and can't get access to my movie files.

I do wish the PS3 would add .mov format and other quicktime features. It would be really cool to get itunes for the PS3 too

Yeah I've gotten that far... First of all can you confirm that you are successful with HD, not just SD?
I've done a 10 second test with mulitpass on and "restrict profiles to main" and "optimized for Download" "1920x1080hd" and the kbps: 20000
This test worked, but when I did the full 3 minute video it is unsupported.
I've heard 20000 is too high, but it's lower than the original HDV file. I'll try at a lower bit rate but it's an overnight render for me! I've been doing this for weeks so I'm kind of burnt out. (I've done tons of tests!!!!!!!!!!!)

I use isquint to convert files to mp4 for my PS3. It is free but only formats things for ipod so you max out at 640 x 480 resolution wise. It is a quick and dirty way to get things converted. I have had some problems streaming mp4s from my Mac to my PS3 since the 2.20 firmware upgrade. So you may want to test a few mp4s if you stream your media.

I don't... "stream"
That doesn't look like it can do HD(?), and I'm not sure if I need visual hub.
Anyone know how to make an M2T file on a mac? PS3 likes those more.
